We have another announcement from the upcoming 2019 Disney Channel film, Descendants 3. A cast list has been revealed with a cute video that we love. Included, is their previous announcement of Celia and Dr. Facilier, but they also stated that Hades will be in this brand new film, and he will be played by Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story, 30 Rock, American Woman).

Complete details haven’t been announced yet, so we’re all still guessing how Hades is going to fit into this, but rumours are ripe stating that Hades will be Mal’s father. We don’t know whether this is true or not as Disney has yet to reveal anything implying that – for all we know, there’s another cast member who is Mal’s father. We’ll have to wait and see – although the video does say: “Cast is now complete!”.

In the video, the cast of Descendants 3 are announced. We’re delighted to see that Sarah Jeffery is returning as Audrey as we certainly missed her in the second film. We’re also hoping Queen Leah, played by Judith Maxie, gets a bigger part than she did in the first film. Other new cast members announced are Christian Convery and Luke Roessler as Squeaky and Squirmy (Smee’s twin sons), respectively. We presume they will act alongside Thomas Doherty’s character Harry Hook. The video also includes new cast members, Jadah Marie and Jamal Sims as Celia and Dr. Facilier, respectively.

And that is it, that’s the entire cast list for Descendants 3. One big notable surprise is that Dianne Doan, who played Lonnie – the daughter of Fa Mulan and Li Shang – is not on this list. How can she not be in this third film after such a prominent part in the second? We’re also disappointed that Maleficent (Kristin Chenoweth), the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy), Jafar (Maz Jobrani), and Cruella de Vil (Wendy Raquel Robinson) are not reprising their roles for the second time in a row – we so want a fourth movie just so these villains do appear.
